Our mission

To mobilise African leadership, evidence and community power against HIV, AIDS and sexually transmitted infections.

Founded in 1989 by African scientists and health leaders, SAA works through four strategic pillars, a continental membership and a biennial conference that has moved across the continent for more than three decades.
